Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating a robbery with violence involving a teenager

File# 2013-10899 – Police Investigate Assault And Robbery

Maple Ridge, B.C. – Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating a robbery with violence involving a teenager. At approximately 12:20 pm. on Wednesday May 29, 2013 the victim was approached by two young males while he was Davison Street. One of the suspects asked the victim what time it was. When he told them, this male struck the victim in the back of the head and stole the youth’s cellular phone. The two suspects then ran north on Davison and then east on 124 Avenue.

The suspect who assaulted the victim is described as a dark skinned male, possibly East Indian, 17 to 18 years of age, 5 foot 9 to 10 inches tall. He was wearing a black with white striped track suit. His accomplice is a white male, 15 to 17 years, blond short spiky hair, with some acne on his face. He was wearing a white zip up jacket.

Corporal Alanna Dunlop said, “We’re asking for the public’s help in trying to identify the suspects in this case. This is a brazen robbery that took place in the middle of the day, and we’re hoping a citizen is able to help us.”
